Horus Heresy: Emperor's Children.. Opps did I just buy that?

Now I don't tend to do the ''Look what I just bought'' post too much but this is something I been after for a wee while for a sensible price.

See I love Forgeworld but boy their prices sting your ass like a ol' good whipping.

But today I got lucky and this popped up on one of the Facebook Trading pages (These pages along with Ebay keep me being a good boy budget Wargamer, well for the most part anyway hehe).

Warhammer 40k: The 17th Traitor Mech Reborn - Pt.1

Welcome loyal readers to the start of a new old project.

A decade ago now I had a army that I sold to a friend which I have always regretted selling since: A Forgeworld Renegade Guard force complete with Tanks, Transports and all the odd bits like Chaos Ogryns.

Now when I got married 6 years ago as a present one of the tanks from that army was given back to me as a weddinggift, a Super Heavy Malcador Defender.

Sadly with me not playing 40k it was forgotten about and stored with a couple of other Forgeword Tanks (Which were used with my old 'Stealer Cult, which will be joining this new force too hehe) and it survived the selling purges somehow.

But Wednesday it come out to play:

Can you spot it hiding on the left?

Beyond the Gates of Antares - Ghar Rebels Pt.3: Rebel Creeper & Fartok

Welcome boys and girls to the House of Horrors

"Hey there, do you like excitement?" (yeah)
"Do you like suspense?" (uh huh)
"Do you like Nel Carter?" (no)
"Good 'cause you won't find her here, this is the House of Horrors
And for you it's absolutely free, step right in" (thanks)

Ahem... sorry the damn songs been stuck in my head all day and now it's your turn hehe.

Anyway welcome to Pt.2 of my Ghar Rebels army build, a Rebel Creeper and the Arch Rebel himself Fartok.

KR Multicases - Budget Storage/Transporting Review(ish)

Now this really isn't going to be a true review of sorts but rather just me rambling on for a bit and no doubt teaching you to suck eggs.

So for many years (Read: 25) I've used GW hard plastic gaming cases as in part I was just lazy and didn't know much else. But for awhile now I really haven't been happy with them, they are big clunky beasts that take up far too much space (I have 12 GW cases ranging from the earlier generations to the massive double size army case).

Also their other main flaw though is cost, yep what else did you expect from a Blog with ''Budget'' in the title.

I'm a cheap bastard.

Beyond the Gates of Antares - Ghar Rebels Pt.2: Black Guard

Once again welcome too the loyal Readers, Minions, Bots and random link clickers to the dank dark underweb of Blogspot known simply as OoaB.

For those interested Part 1 can be read HERE.

Right anyway on with the show, this month I decided to join in with the Beyond the Gates of Antares (IMTel) pages Hobby Pledge for Charity ran by the Primus Shard and it's a chance to win £20 worth of toys.

Beyond the Gates of Antares - Herts Shard Meet Up No.2

Last night was the 2nd Herts Shard gaming night, just the 2 of us this time but still a rather fun day of random banter, dice rolling and rules we got wrong :D.

We played 2 games, the first we stopped after turn one and moved terrian around and reduced the table size after the first game became clear it wasn't making for a run game.

Below are some pictures of the 2nd game

Horus Heresy: Emperor's Children - Cataphractii Terminators & Techmarine

Good morning my fellow Wargamers and Lead Heads.

Once again I have been painting up my 30k/Pre-Heresy Emperor's Children.

Last time I showed you my Traitor Librarian-Sorcerer which I really enjoy converting and painting.

Today though I have 2 new units finished and all are converted, it would be rude not too eh?

First up my Cataphractii Terminators.
