Welcome Sinners, Minions, Bots and other unwashed masses once again to the dark dank area of the interwebs known simply as Oldhammer on a Budget.
So if you remember I'm working on a Gates force which will be used in the upcoming Open Day at Warlord Games HQ.
Since it's only just over 2 weeks away I need to pull my finger out and finish the last dozen or so Boromites and Drones.
Above is the latest unit finished and that is a Squad of Boromite Gang Fighters:
The leader carries a mag pistol and a hand held weapon for close up fighting – this can be either a tractor maul or lectro-lash. The gangers carry longer-ranged mag guns. Both have reflex armour. Reflex armour is a basic type of kinetic field defence common to many combatants in the Antarean universe.
This consists of an energy field suspended from metalised hard points located on the wearer’s armour or clothing. In the case of Boromites, these hard points take the form of separate multifunctional nanite receptor nodes fastened directly into the tough, horny skin of the individual concerned
They are coming together nicely, despite some of figures being a real pain in the ass too paint (Looking at you Hatchling Swarms and Lavamites!).
Just a quick post today, so that's your lot.
Ta ta for now!
They look very nice. A friend gave me his duplicate copy of the rules, I've kind of got my eye on collecting some Isorians.
ReplyDeleteYou should mate, great fun little game. Also whats not to like about alien infected machines that are the Isorians :)
DeleteBlimey! The Boromite painting machine known as Chico Danks continues on and on!! Great paint-jobs my friend. You're making me feel incredibly guilty!!
ReplyDeleteThanks but your Boromites look so much better than mine :)
DeleteReally nice stuff chico
ReplyDeleteThank you mate :)
DeleteThat purple-white with red basing is a very effective scheme mate, I like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking army!
Thanks bud, was trying to just to use a really restricted palette to keep it all simple.
