Epic: More Buildings

So as the grind to get everything done for BOYL14 continues, I've made some more progress on my Epic scenery. To help make painting the buildings alittle more interesting I've been adding little details (Ork Trak chasing a SM bike, a Orka-Cola Truck)

Cold refreshing Orka-Cola? No Orksi fans here!

The future of Wargaming?

Now while I/We live in our little Oldhammer bubble and drooling over the past (Both miniatures and rules) I still like to play current games (DMH is my new love).

I happen to wonder to myself ''what is the future of Wargaming''.. and the answer I came up with both scares and interests me. It's Pre-painted games and Skirmish level games

Lets start with pre-painted shall we?.. Well to bad It's my Blog and I'm the boss dog :P

We all heard of X-wing by Fantasy Flight Games

X-Wing Miniatures is a tactical miniatures game in which two or more players use ships from the Star Wars saga to engage in space combat. Players choose ships belonging to either the Rebel or Imperial faction, their corresponding pilots, and upgrade cards to create unique squads. Each round, the players use vehicle-specific maneuver dials in conjunction with the game's corresponding maneuver templates to reposition each ship in an effort to gain tactical striking positions against enemy ships. The players then roll dice to determine the outcome.

Dead Man's Hand Review

DEAD MAN'S HAND is the 28mm skirmish game by Great Escape Games. Bands of tough and wily Cowboys, stoic Lawmen, ruthless Outlaws and crazy Desperados fight for fame and respect in the Old West.

With an accompanying range of 28mm miniatures and pre-painted buildings, now you can fight legendary gunfights of the historical Old West and the silver screen. This rule book contains all the rules you need to recreate your gunfights and twelve blood-soaked scenarios.

My Hero died today.. Give God a kick in the nadgers bud!

Not Wargaming related but still a large part of my childhood, Rik Mayall has passed away.

He played the obnoxious, poetry-writing anarchist Rick in The Young Ones alongside his friend Adrian Edmondson before the duo later went on to star in their sitcom Bottom.

Mayall also appeared in shows including Blackadder and The New Statesman. Mayall's film roles included the comedies Drop Dead Fred and Guest House Paradiso.

Challenge Week: Sci Fi

Its time for the 6th Chico Challenge Week™

So after the success of the last Challenge week it's time for the next one to get underway. Results can be seen here

So what counts as Sci-Fi, well pretty much anything you can blag and can come up with a reason why. I'm pretty laidback when it comes to what counts. The mail thing is too just have fun and get painting.

Judge Chico: Collecting Judge Dredd Part 4 - Angel Gang Part 2

Part 2 of the Angel Gang posts of the Collecting Judge Dredd series.

Pa Angel
Elmer 'Pa' Angel was the Patriarch of the Angel gang, a family of dangerous criminals originally from Texas City who Pa preyed on travellers making their way across the Cursed Earth. Pa was enormously proud of his children's violent behaviours and in general wickedness, and as a result would encourage it as often as possible, considering it a strength and a virtue.

Unfortunately for one of his sons: Mean Angel, Pa was disgusted by his quiet, passive personality viewing his mild nature as a disappointment and a weakness. This prompted Pa to kidnap a surgeon from nearby Texas city and force him to perform surgical modifications on his son, transforming the once gentle boy into a brutal cyborg.
