Rogue Trader 15mm: 400pts Chaos Genestealer Cult ready for BOYL

So one of my games I'm playing is a 400pts 15mm game using USEME ruleset against Mr Rob.

Rogue Trader 15mm: Battle Report - Virus Bombing of Itchy Krak

Virus Bombing of Itchy Krak

Today I had to chance to play a game on 15mm Sci Fi using the USEME rules set and I have to say I was rather impressed even though we made some mistakes with the ELAN ratings. I also got to use all my terrain I had painted which is also nice.

Inquisitor Thrush sat in his well padded chair as he pondered the latest report of Cult activity at the Outpost of Itchy Krak. The Cult had been almost wiped out once by the Ork invasion and the hiring of The Torg Bounty Hunters, but alas they have sprung up once again this time with the minions of the Dark Gods by their side.

There is only 1 answer... Virus Bomb.

Rogue Trader 15mm: Beastmen, Cultists & a flashy new ride

Following from last Wednesdays 15mm update post (viewed HERE) I've been busy working on alot of more 15mm toys for a game on the 14th using the USEME: Sci-Fi rules set (which can be bought from 15mm.co.uk).

A lot of the bits won't be used but it's giving me then urge to finish them regardless.

Beastmen Attack Squad: The Hogs of War

Rogue Trader 15mm: The Project Update

A couple of posts ago I mentioned I was working on some 15mm for the holidays. Well I didn't  get as much done as I wanted but I did get to tidy up a few and get a few new bits painted.

The Torg Warband so far.

Rogue Trader 15mm: Cult of the Children 'Stealer Cult Limo & Brood Brothers

Last night I unpacked my stalled 15mm Rogue Trader project which you can view some of the posts via the links below:

The Start

Emperor's Children

Ork Freebooters & The Torg

The Torg Oshkosh & ''The Hog'' APC

Now once I unpacked them I couldn't just leave them alone, Oh No! As I have large amount of 15mm stashed away I decided I better get some more done and it'll be a nice change from my other projects.

Cult of the Children

Rogue Trader 15mm: Toys for the Toys God!

I just like to start my saying I may or may not have just walked  around a few Toy/Discount shops looking like a werido going though there selection of umm.. Toys :)

Honest!

 Well £3 later...

The 15mm Project

I HAVE A PLAN!

and a empty wallet...

So as you may have seen from Tuesdays POST that I fell hard for 15mm and while I'm still waiting for the CP Models Orcs to turn up I've ended up going on 15mm.co.uk and buying a large chunk of bits and pieces

But.. But.. I HAVE A PLAN!

The plan is simple and allows me to get to paint small amounts and get the most from both the scale and cheapness. I'm going to build a number of small Gangs/Warbands of no more then 10 figures (To start with) and less for Elites.

No rules will be used when building these and I will be building to a common theme, whatever I like the look of and would love to paint.

I have 4 Warbands planned so far, you seen of them already my Space Ork Freebooters, well here's the next 3:

The Aftermath of BOYL14: Part 2 - Epic,The War of the Beards!

So with the GMing of the Judge Game done and lunch of a Baked Potato in my belly I moved on to the first of my Epic games.

First game was my Genestealer Cult Vs Richard ''Terminator'' Legg's Pointy Ears O' Doom

Genestealer Cult on the prowl

6mm Cult of the Children 50% done!

So with BOYL14 only 9 days away I still find myself with alot of painting to finish including 2 Epic armies and Scenery.

Anyway the Cult is now 50% or more finished, and while I love them they are a feking chore to paint unlike the Orks which so much faster.

Chico's Top Ten Miniatures: Part 2

Time for part 2, guess I better show some Citadel goodies or I'll get lynched or at least brutally sodomised by a Imperator Titan! and a Ham Sandwich!

Actually I love plenty of Citadel goodies so its not that bad really lol

Judge Dredd Fink Angel

Arhhh Fink Angel my kinda chap.. hiding down holes and poisoning people.

Chico's Top Ten Miniatures: Part 1

Now I'm jumping on the Top 10 miniature Blog post band wagon started by Magpie and Old Lead. Which he himself ''borrowed'' from a FB post :D

It's not really a surpise that while I love old Citadel a large % of my list will be Alternative Companies.

In no real order:

Oldhammer Goblin

The Oldhammer Goblin by the master Himself, this will be pride of my Greenskins

Hasslefree Kalee

Whats not to love about this figure? Boobs and Malal...Oh dear sticky undies!

Cult of the Children: More 6mm

My first little order, 100 Hybrids of various types

Cult of the Children in 6mm?

Warhammer World Invasion aka So I heard you like Cults

Yesterday i went to another of the Warhammer World Invasion events, this time it was a doubles event (Not my favourite) So i went with my friend Kris.

I took my Genestealer Cult and Kris took his Chaos Cult (Used to my mine till i sold it on). I happy to say that the combined Cults won not only  the Watford Store Champions but also Best Army with a almost unheard of score of a max of 20 out of 20 points for Painting/Basing/Warlord/Fluff.

Watford Store Invasion Champions, Note my Oldhammer T-shirt

Best Army Award

Genestealer Magus

Team name: So I heard you like Cults. 5 points away from max score in gaming.

The Cult is rising! Pray to the 4-armed God

Hey,

A few months ago entered my Cult of the Children force into my local GW's Army of the Month contest and won, below are the pictures of that entry. I've painted alot more Cult bits since then, but I'll show them off another time.

I like gaming with old figures but with current rules, that way i can always get a game in and get the joy of painting the classic sculpts.

This Cult is built for use for Codex: Imperial Guard, hence the Heavy Weapon teams. Genestealer count as allied Deamonettes

Cult of the Children (Has grown alot since this picture)

Command Squad, Hybrid Leader has since been redone

Battle Psyker Squad

Platoon Command Squad

'Stealers baby!

3  Autocannon Teams, behind 3rd Ed 40k Ruins

Next update i'll post some more of the Cult i have been working on.

Cheers
Chico
