The Aftermath of BOYL14: Part 3 - Epic Um... Epic?

So day 3 of BOYL for myself was a large Epic game where I got gang raped. But before I show these pictures I'm going to show off my toys that I bought and traded for at the event :)

Just when I thought I was done...

Yep in the last post I said I was done with Epic Scenery, well I was wrong.

Turns out my Daemonscape turn up the next days and the goodies within were cracked out the bubblewrap rather quickly.

I made a start on getting them prepped and half the bits of the final order is finished to go along with everything else already painted.

Epic Scenery Done!

Well ok.... maybe not, I still have an order from Daemonscape yet to arrive containing ruins/rubble, more Orky shacks and a couple of large Warehouses. But I'm not sure if they will even get here before BOYL let along painted in time for my Epic games (I'm both running a few on the Saturday and playing in a large one on the Sunday)

Quite happy with how they turned out and I'm glad I based them on plastic sheeting for ease of use even if it was annoying and I ended up getting sand everywhere (Including on the Cat)

My Ork settlement, I will add to it (In fact that's the order I'm waiting for) a fecking bugger to paint as it's all fiddly bits and odds and sods.

6mm Cult of the Children 50% done!

So with BOYL14 only 9 days away I still find myself with alot of painting to finish including 2 Epic armies and Scenery.

Anyway the Cult is now 50% or more finished, and while I love them they are a feking chore to paint unlike the Orks which so much faster.

Chico's Top Ten Miniatures: Part 1

Image stolen from axiom

Now I'm jumping on the Top 10 miniature Blog post band wagon started by Magpie and Old Lead. Which he himself ''borrowed'' from a FB post :D

It's not really a surpise that while I love old Citadel a large % of my list will be Alternative Companies.

In no real order:

Oldhammer Goblin

The Oldhammer Goblin by the master Himself, this will be pride of my Greenskins

Hasslefree Kalee

Whats not to love about this figure? Boobs and Malal...Oh dear sticky undies!

Cult of the Children: More 6mm

Well this seems to have escalated quickly.. Ordered Wednesday, package arrived Thursday, first few stands painted Friday.

My first little order, 100 Hybrids of various types

Cult of the Children in 6mm?

So regular readers of OoaB will know I have a rather massive C....ult :). Genestealer Cult that is, The self proclaimed Cult of the Children (Background can be viewed HERE)

Some of my many, many Hybrids :)

Epic: More Buildings

So as the grind to get everything done for BOYL14 continues, I've made some more progress on my Epic scenery. To help make painting the buildings alittle more interesting I've been adding little details (Ork Trak chasing a SM bike, a Orka-Cola Truck)

Cold refreshing Orka-Cola? No Orksi fans here!

Epic: Orks & Buildings

Been awhile since an Epic Blog post, but have no fear today's one is a bumper one. A few of these pictures have been posted elsewhere but you can enjoy them again anyway :)

Kult of Speed Nob Bikers

Kultof Speed Spleenrippas

Epic Orks: Kult of Speed

Just a small update, these ladz were the last thing I painted before my eyes went wonky. Rather pleased with how they turned out.

2 Nob Bikers and a Buggie

3 Evil Sun Battlewagons

6mm Terrain

So me and my Wife are looking to move in the coming months and I've been promised I an have a gaming table! (Much bribes were used in this process).

It's part of the reason my basing have become more uniform so they'll match my table :)

Anyway with the Oldhammer Weekend coming up and I have a few Epic games planned so to kill 2 Frenchies (Looking at you Mr Ass ;) ) with 1 stone I'm making/buying some 6mm terrain pieces.

Epic Orks; Badmoons Stompas and Battlewagons Support Cards

Wow in a weeks time this Blog will be 1 year old and as it stands nearly 45k views.. anyway more about that later then week.

Today I bring you more shit pictures of my latest Epic Orks (With conversions, sadly not from me).

Epic Orks: Bad Moons Ork Dread Mob Support Card & Blood Axe Nobz

Been a quiet week on the Epic front as I'd run out of 2p's to base with, surprisingly it's rather hard to pick up 2p's in this day and age.. either that or it's just plain sods law.

Anyway I'm back on track after convincing a Bank teller to give me some (I went in Natwest Bank last week and they told me sorry they don 't hold that many 2p's up front.. wtf it's a Bank!)

Anyway here's a few pictures:

Bad Moons Dread Mob Support Card:

Epic Orks: Snakebite Squiggoths Support Card

Just a small post today but I've finished my first SMV2 Ork Support Card, Snakebite Squiggoths!

Epic Orks: Evil Sun Clan Part 3 Almost done!

Part 3 of the WIP of the Evil Sun SMV2 Ork Clan Card, I'm almost done with only 4 more Boyz stands to complete.

A large bag of plastic Orks arrived at my door yesterday from Nico over on the Blog Realms of Chaos (BTW his stuff is mind blowing so go check it out).

Anyway I got to work on a few more stands:

Epic Orks: Evil Sun Clan Part 1

Busy boy painting once again, this time it's my first Epic bits painted. Rather happy with how this Clan (Evil Suns) is turning out.. Not so happy with how long it's taking to remove the boyz from there old bases and re-base them on 2p's

Chico Go's Epic

So I've gone and started a new project! Who's shocked? Nope didn't think so heh

Anyway even though it's Big Guy Week I've gone and started Epic.. Space Marine 2nd Ed in fact. And the Race I've chosen is Race I'm very familiar with (and you might of guess by the banner) ORKS!
