Watford Wargaming Federation

So at 6pm today I headed down to my local Games Club, The Watford Wargaming Federation for the first time in about 10-12 Years.

Turns out i still know many of the people which go there but dew to it being the first week after the Clubs 2nd move in 2 months there was only 15 or so people there.

I was even lucky enough to get a game in, was it Oldhammer related?.. UM NOPE! So what did i play?

Each player controls between one (for 6 players) and four (solo game) survivors, human trapped in a zombie-infested town. In fact, "survivors" quickly change to "hunters" to smash zombies through and through. However, the team must constantly maintain a balance between survival and slaughter, for as the zombicide continues, the Danger Level increases, and the infected grow in numbers. Any misstep can turn to disaster.
Zombicide is a fun and easy game with cool miniatures in an archetypical, popular and comics-inspired environment. Ambiance is constantly balanced between "beat'em up" and "survival horror" as survivors keep switching from prey to predators. Humour and gloom happily marry in a zombie-fest.

I have to say it was a lot of fun, with 5 players all working together to complete the Objectives which we managed to do at the cost of everybody apart from 1 survivor (played by my mate Kris).

So next week i head back down for the first GLOGG game so I shall keep you all informed of that game.

    1. It was fun, but I was hoping it was going to be a bit more cutthroat and less working together.

  2. I get the impression that Zombicide is one of those real successes as a board game (like Space Hulk was) and I've not heard that much bitching about the models either in comparison to the other big Kickstarter games. I guess people's expectations of bendy plastic aren't quite as high as they are with new super wonder plastic resin (which is a massive fail!). The Zombicide models paint up quite well even if clean up is a little bit of a faff.

Nice new page design too :)

    1. Until that yesterday I never even heard of that game, sees like i been missing out. The figures look rather nice to paint up but sadly the set we were gaming with with unpainted (Club copy)

And cheers the page redesign was well needed as it looked shit and I just didn't know how to go about changing and making it look good.
