Even though my eyes are still wonky I've been trying to get back painting, my test piece was none other then Fink Angel himself.

Now I also got to try out a few Army Painter paints namely Uniform Grey and Necrotic Flesh, both are rather smooth and blend rather well with VGC and Citadel.
Quite happy with the end result and looking to start cracking on Mean Machine next, then JD7 Judge Dredd.. just don't expect my colour choices to be cannon.
