Chico Does Mordheim: Pt.9 Ruined Building No.1

So along with sorting out my Hobgoblins for the Tale of 4 Oldhammers I've still been busy building Chicoheim™. After deciding on using on the Warlord Games ruins it's all coming together rather quickly, plus I have to say I'm rather impressed with the outcome.

The Oldhammer Goblin having a walk down Knob St.

I have various internals left to do but for the time being I'm calling it finished so I can get cracking on 2 others and without losing what's left of my mind.

Thanks for looking!

  1. Looks great Chico - packed full of character and yet simple enough not to adversely hinder playing on it.

    1. Thankies, first and foremost it's a gaming piece so needs space for at least 25mm bases to stand inside. Hopefully the others will work just as well too.

    1. Watford Games Club is closing in 3 weeks anyway which is a shame, hopefully we'll find a new venue :-/

  3. I agree with axiom, great balance between detail and playability. I don't know if it was intentional but leaving the interior flat black is a good way of showing a building's footprint should your group decide to go that route for shooting modifiers/bonus to save.
I particularly like the height or lack thereof of this ruin, all too often I see monsterous 3 and 4 story jobs, it's mordheim, not marienburg!

    1. Ta, It's Chicoheim.. were afraid of heights ;) I will have some higher levels but on things like Watchtowers rather then houses which I'm keeping ground floor or 1 level higher. For the black interior I kept it black more for eye candy as I like how it looks rather then rules but it's a bonus if it works out that way heh

  4. I strongly considered these terrain pieces when I started my Mordheim board. Didn't have the guts to pull the trigger, and I wound up spending way too much time with foamcore and wooden sticks. Glad to see you've pulled it off!
