Rogue Trader 15mm: The Project Update

A couple of posts ago I mentioned I was working on some 15mm for the holidays. Well I didn't  get as much done as I wanted but I did get to tidy up a few and get a few new bits painted.

The Torg Warband so far.

Cult of the Children Warband
Both the 2 Warbands above had new Vehicles and a few touch ups on the foot troopers. The Cult also has a lot of bits to paint sitting on my work desk which is up next.

Inquisitor and ArbiteWarband
The latest Warband added to the ranks, I have so much more to add to them including the Inquisitor Henchmen.

Both the Ork Freebooters and Chaos Warband havn't had anything new painted for them of late but I do have a few things to add to them in dew time (15mm Beastmen should be fun).

Anyway Happy New Year my Minions!

  1. I think the best thing about all these gangs, Chico, is that everyone knows exactly which side one another is on as your colours are simply superb. I especially like the not-Judges yellow. How do you get that colour so vivid!?! Superb stuff and certainly I'm sure its a pleasure for anyone having a game with them. Finding your site and enjoying some banter with you has definitely been a highlight of this year for me. My best to you for the New Year... now get painting some more of those splendid "Citadel" Judge Dredd sculpts :-)

    1. Ta very much mate, with the yellow it's a rather simple way:

      VGC Gold Yellow
      Citadel Nuln Oil
      VGC Gold Yellow again
VGC Gold Yellow + Citadel Bleached Bone 50/50 mix to highlight

Nuln Oil/Black Wash is the key to everything I paint, I'd be lost without it.

  3. Hi!

Fantastic work on those 15mm gubbins! You are putting my own humble daubings to shame and really getting the Rogue Trader vibe coming through with the paintwork too.

Cant wait to see more in the new year!

    All the best!

    1. Do it mate, wouldn't mind a game if 15mm at BOYL15. Plus it's the cheapest scale to get into.

    2. Sadly 2015's BOYL will elude me but I may be able to make it to 2016!!!!

  6. Hey Chico, I'm loving the 15mm stuff, it looks great!

After playing you at 6mm epic at BOYL 14 I might have to knock some stuff up and play you in 15mm this year!!

  7. How do you find it plays with RT; I imagine the ranges are actually a bit more realistic!!

    1. When I use RT or 2nd ed in 15mm I half all ranges except movement which works well. I just picked up the USEME rules which I'll be using from now on. Simple and easy to learn, plus very flexible.
