That well Wave 2 was cast up and Geoff the mastermind and genius behind the sculpting and running of Oakbound Studio and I was sent a couple of sets of the Masters (Which I should pull my finger out and paint).

So the long wait is over, Wave 2 of the Evil Space Dorfs have made planetfall.

Geoff at Oakbound has sent me some of the first casts which turned up on my doorstep today.

Yes ok it's been a little while since the last Evil Dorf update, but that sneaky chap Geoff over at Oakbound Studios (Notice the name change!) has been pushing forward despite being a rather busy chap with his new 32mm Legends of British Steampunk range and other bits!. 

Really go check them out,while not Oldhammer are rather purdy indeed.

So the Fimir tidying up has all but finished but have no fear I've been painting up the unpainted ones instead as well as sorting out movement trays.

I've also almost finish my first complete unit bar 2..

Fimir Project Reboot Pt.2 - Fimm repaints/tidy ups

Progress has well and truly started on the Fimir make over with half of the big Fimm unit getting a tidy up a few repaints and improved basing.

It's funny what a fresh eye can do to a old paint job and since I wasn't burnt out on brown I was able to go back and do all those fiddly jobs like final shading and tidying up.

Fimir Project Reboot Pt.1

Over 2 years ago now was the last time I took paint to brush for my Fimir army, I fell out of love for the ''Rape Demons'' I'm afraid. 

Maybe it was painting layer after layer of brown or lack of focus on the direction taken. A large part was dew to the limited options both figure wise and army list (I was at that point still playing current WhFB and was using WoC list to count them as).

While Oakbound Minis came along way to counter act the lack of figures with their wonderful Marsh Demon range for The Woods RPG and Geoff also sent me a free set of them too boot. But my desire for the rappy ones soon slowed down... 

Until now, It's reboot time!

So Oakbound Games are starting a Kickstarter this month:

A number has failed like my own part-owner company Affinity Miniatures, BUT! A number has grown and become wonderful things.

So this post is all about promoting 2 of the best:

First up is Oakbound Miniatures owned and run by a rather nice member of the Oldhammer Community.

Oakbound Games strives to revive the golden (umm, leaden!) era of roleplaying miniatures with a range of quirky and fun figures in 28mm scale for The Woods, Factious Waste and any other system you care to use. Hark back to those heady (umm, leady!) days where the experience and the story were what counted and the rules were there to serve the fluff.

Oakbound Miniatures are hand-sculpted and cast in lead pewter in the UK. We keep a small quantity of miniatures in stock and can usually dispatch out of stock items within six weeks of order. If you need your miniatures sooner please contact us to check availability and we will do our best to make sure you get your order as quickly as possible. Unless otherwise stated, all miniatures are supplied without weaponry, which is available separately. MDF hexagonal bases are included for figures from The Woods. We plan to issue a range of accessories for these figures in the near future but the miniatures are designed to fit with items by most 28-32mm manufacturers. If you are resident outside of the UK please contact us for shipping costs before buying.
