Rogue Trader 15mm: Battle Report - Virus Bombing of Itchy Krak

Virus Bombing of Itchy Krak

Today I had to chance to play a game on 15mm Sci Fi using the USEME rules set and I have to say I was rather impressed even though we made some mistakes with the ELAN ratings. I also got to use all my terrain I had painted which is also nice.

Inquisitor Thrush sat in his well padded chair as he pondered the latest report of Cult activity at the Outpost of Itchy Krak. The Cult had been almost wiped out once by the Ork invasion and the hiring of The Torg Bounty Hunters, but alas they have sprung up once again this time with the minions of the Dark Gods by their side.

There is only 1 answer... Virus Bomb.

Rogue Trader 15mm: Beastmen, Cultists & a flashy new ride

Following from last Wednesdays 15mm update post (viewed HERE) I've been busy working on alot of more 15mm toys for a game on the 14th using the USEME: Sci-Fi rules set (which can be bought from 15mm.co.uk).

A lot of the bits won't be used but it's giving me then urge to finish them regardless.

Rogue Trader 15mm: Cult of the Children 'Stealer Cult Limo & Brood Brothers

Last night I unpacked my stalled 15mm Rogue Trader project which you can view some of the posts via the links below:

Now once I unpacked them I couldn't just leave them alone, Oh No! As I have large amount of 15mm stashed away I decided I better get some more done and it'll be a nice change from my other projects.

Rogue Trader 15mm: The Torg Oshkosh & ''The Hog'' APC

So in between packing and sorting though shit I've managed to get a total of 2 hours painting time but have no fear I didn't waste it.

I started work on The Torg my own home grown Merc/Bounty Hunter race, they are Half-Orcs with big ass medium tech and stolen/rewarded higher tech plasma weapons.

The Torg: On the left is ''The Hog''APC and the right is a Oshkosh (2 more Oshkosh still to paint)

Rogue Trader 15mm: Emperor's Children

So Chico's been a busy boy and knocked out the first Warband from my Rogue Trader 15mm Project

Emperor's Children

Quite happy with my first try at 15mm, these are more 18mm though so it was perhaps a easy choice to start off with them, plus it's the smallest Warband and I'm so used to painting purple.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader

Rule Book front cover
The existence of a science fiction table top game in development by Games Workshop was made known through Citadel Journal in 1986 and Rogue Trader was officially released at Games Workshop's annual Games Day event in October 1987. Created by Rick Priestly, The game was sub-titled Warhammer 40,000 in order to clearly differentiate it from 2000 AD's Rogue Trooper comic series. The game featured rules that were closely modelled on those of its older fantasy counterpart, Warhammer Fantasy Battle. The majority of the book was written by Rick Priestley who was also responsible for WFB.

The gameplay of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader differs from its main modern-day descendant (Warhammer 40,000), in that it was heavily role-play-oriented, with great detail placed on weaponry and vehicles and the inclusion of a third player (the Game Master) in battles, a role not too different from the Dungeon Master of Dungeons and Dragons. Rogue Trader game introduced some races that were later removed from the Warhammer 40,000 setting, such as Squats (Warhammer dwarfs in space), Zoats (also present in Warhammer Fantasy Battle) and the Space Slann (a humanoid frog-like race).
