SAGA: Battle Report - ''Alliance of Broken Promises''

Tonight at my local club I had the chance to play a 3-way SAGA game while rather entertaining and had it's enjoyable moments, it sure had it's problems like all multi-player games suffer from. I'd like to try a 4 player game to see if that balances everything out.

Rather then doing a play by play which would be rather confusing I'm just going to give a brief highlight and show off the photos which weren't blurry (Yes I know, blurry is my norm heh)

Welsh - Tree hugging hippies
Vikings - Warriors of the Gods
Anglo-Danish - Back Stabbing Bastards

SAGA: Battle Report - ''Challenge at Ameagon's Rock''

Anglo-Danish Bacon Vs Welsh Sheep ''Enjoyers''

So today I had another great game of SAGA against my rival Lord Pat and his Welsh. Rolling up the scenario we got ''The Challenge''.

Works for me as I haven't played that one before.

Set up is simple with both Warlords starting with in S (4") of each other in the centre, this case right under the giant throbbing rock.. Yes I said rock :P

Warlords face off, while the Welsh advance

SAGA: Anglo-Danish 4pts Complete

So after a rather horrible night last night spent in A&E with the Wife who had a allergic reaction to something (No not my wang!), I finished my 4pts this morning. They were finished Wednesday but since them I've re-based and done some work on the shields.

SAGA: Anglo-Danish Ceorls Part 1

Arhhhh so at last my Mum and Auntie has been sent packing back down to Barnstaple and the family which gathered for my Mums 70th has dispersed back to their various holes.

As such I haven't had much chance to paint this week but I did knock out 8 Anglo-Dane Ceorls (Warriors).

2 Points completed, 4 to finish.

SAGA: Anglo-Danish Huscarls Part1

Not too much painting done the last few days I'm afraid just a few and a few more undercoated. But I did finish 4 Huscarls (Banner, Horn and 2 Dane-Axes).

They are plastics by Wargames Factory Saxon Thegns costing about 45p each (£15 for 32), they are Ok but nothing special but do look better then I was expecting.

SAGA: Anglo-Danish Warlord

So following on from my last post I've been busy hunting though my lead pile and sourcing various bits and pieces for my Anglo-Danish (I'm sure there's a Bacon joke somewhere.. Hmmm Bacon *drools*)

I started with the Warlord, lucky for me he come equipped with a Dane Axe a state of the art weapon for the time. I also wanted to not to stick to historic 100% as well that just ain't my cup of tea (Or pint of Guinness).

Anyway hunting for my unloved projects I came across the perfect figure for a war loving Anglo-Bacon (Yup I found the Bacon joke).

The figure is a Ral Partha Tyrant Berserker, a rather nice figure If I do say so myself. Adds alittle fantasy touch to the setting :)
