Combat Zone: Scavengers, Rus-Co & Scatter Terrain

So last few days I have been busy painting as normal, trying to get everything painted in time for a game on Wednesday which I'm providing both sides for (Scavs and Rus-Co).

I'm also trying to get my own Terrain finished (Some case even started), I'm still umming and errring about my home made stuff, part of me wants to just leave it and move on to the bought stuff.

Combat Zone: Rus-Co Troopers/Henchmen

Yes I know more Combat Zone (Expect a fair few more posts in the weeks to come) and even more Mark Copplestone Ex-Grenadier figures.

But this time I have some Corporation Troops to give the Gangers a good banging (See what I did there?).

Combat Zone: Battle Report - Monster Hunt

Last night while enjoying a bottle of Hobgoblin (It may have been closer to 4) I had the chance to play a game of Combat Zone to a good friend of mine. Now It seemed like a good idea at the time but as my Scenery is still under construction and a Battleboard yet to be made we made the best of what we had,

So we just used the scenery which comes with Combat Zone, as it turned out it was more then enough for such a small game.

Brak the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Six Six Sixers hated Zone 17, there was always something quite off putting about the old style brick ruins and that sense of someone or something watching them.

The Sides:

The Six Six Sixers:

4 Average Gangers + 1 Veteran Gang Leader: 3 Machine Pistols, Flame Weapon, Autoshotgun

The Monster:

Hero: Recoiless Rifle

Gargath smells prey, Gargath will hunt! Gargath will eat well!

Combat Zone: The Six Six Sixers

So this coming Wednesday at my local games club (Watford Wargaming Federation) I'm running a Combat Zone Demo to drum up some interest in the 20 year old game (First written in '94).

As such I need to get some Gangs an Troopers painted (Troopers have only just been ordered from Forlorn Hope).

Anyway heres some more Bikers done, The Six Six Sixers:

Combat Zone: Scavenger & Biker Gang

Another change of pace and another project progresses alittle further. Some of these have been shown before but they have had a few bits repainted and tidy up to fit with the newer painted ones.

Gang Leader & 2 Veterens
The Scavengers are a mix of EM4 (Ex-Grenadier) and Copplestone Castings, as they are both sculpted by the same person (Mark Copplestone) they blend perfectly.

Arhhh 30k Blog views...

Very nice I have broke the 30k Blog Views (30.631) which was the goal I  happened too set myself at the start up of this Blog in May '13.

So with my health still quite bad I'd haven't done any real hobby for awhile but rather I concentrated on what was Affinity Miniatures. With that now ended I can once again try to start painting/collecting once more Wooo!

Anyway for this post I'd like to share once more what was my favourite project of last year.. My Future Wars Savage Gang sculpted by Mark Copplestone and sold though EM4

Combat Zone - EM4 Miniatures skirmish game

Combat Zone is a 25mm skirmish game set in the near future. At the end of the 20th century the governments promised that the Internet and World Wide Web would be made available to us all, it would be in every school, library and public building. Unfortunately this never happened. Society was split by those with computer skills and access to the information and those who didn't. Corporations familiar with the ways of the Net grew more powerful. They fed the populace with biased information, digitally remodelled pictures, everyone believed what they saw or read was true. Governments were brought down by scandal. Important ministers employed by the Corporations. The population turned to the only ones they could trust, the ones who provided them with jobs, housing, and leisure facilities, the Corporation. They built secure zones within the cities. The local police force were employed by the Corporations to police these zones. Those of no use to the Corps were left outside the Corporate walls to fend for themselves. They lived in a harsh, violent, and lawless society. The only people for them to turn to were those with money, and power. The Gang leaders, drug and arms dealers. They provided them with food and shelter, and an identity. They were part of a Gang, and they had a purpose. To protect their turf from raids from other gangs or attacks by the neighbouring Corps, who formed military units to eradicate the gangs. Life was lived in a Combat Zone, and there was no escape.
