Back of Beyond - Chinese Painted Pt.7

So welcome once again to my humble Blog and this time it's a continuation of my Bolt Action Nationalist Northern Chinese.

With Salute over and finding myself buying some Reiver Castings Chinese I dug out the 25 or so Copplestone and Pulp Miniatures Chinese that still needed some paint loving and thought I'd better get them cracked out before I start the Reiver stuff.

For those interested the rest of the painted force can by seen here: Chinese Painted Pt.6 (Army Shot).

Note:
A few changes have been made since Pt.6, I changed helmet colours and few repaints/tidying up.

Anyway first up to get painted:

Back of Beyond - Chinese Painted Pt.6 (Army Shot)

Welcome Readers, Minions & Future Bot Overlords.

We have reached Pt.6.. Yes! 6!

So while I have been painting up other projects (Some of which will be posted soon) I haven't stopped painting my beloved Nationalist Chinese.

I would say I'm not 80% towards total completion.. not that any force is really complete.

So pictures!

Back of Beyond - Chinese Painted Pt.3

Good Morning Vietnam!

What?

China is close enough right?

It isn't Morning?

Bollocks to you!

So it's been 15 days since the last WW2/BoB Chinese update (Blog post HERE) and the force was just starting to look like something other than a random collection of figures, now though it's almost a small gaming force.

Back of Beyond - Chinese Painted Pt.1

'Ello loyal readers, today I bring you pictures of some painted toys.

So want to see them?

Back of Beyond - Chinese Prep Work Begins

What? Whats this?

It's another post!

Damn you lot are lucky, wish I got to look at drivel such as this and blurry pics like you loyal OoaB readers get too!

Anyway now my ego can't fit though the door it's time for the post.

So my deal came in the post from  LAF, 27 Chinese Nationalists (25 Copplestone, 2 Pulp).

Back of Beyond - Chinese Nationalists

So it's been a wee while since I posted,

So ummm..

Hi?

Hehe

Anyway the reason for my lack of posts is that my Hobby mojo got up and fucked off for awhile.

Combined with only getting a single game in since November it was time to do something drastic..

I've since sold off a good percentage of my collections (Chico's Ebay goodies) as alot of it was just gathering dust and acting like a ball and chain holding my now fucked off mojo.

It's really quite freeing get rid of the toys and now I have hobby space it's time to get some projects going.

First up will be some BoB Chinese, but I still have some Oldhammer projects planned (Slanneshi Dark Elves, Blood Bowl Humans)

Well ok maybe not the bloody basing which is a pig even with using texture paint.

Well thats enough prattle it's time for pictures of toys!

Back to War.. master?

So last Orctober I started up a LotR themed Orc army and other then a couple of games they saw little action.

I think I lost interest dew to not having much selection to choose from and despite ordering a few more bits they came too late and the bug was gone to another project.

Well all I can say there is nothing like losing your job combined with a upcoming game to give the spark back.

So the last few days I've painted up a few units and tidied up some others, plus I cleaned and prepped a few more units ready for the paint brush.

Terminator Genisys: Resistance Pt.1

So as a break from my larger projects and a aim to keep my hobby costs down I've been busy repainting up my Grenadier & Copplestone Casting figures (As I have 30 odd not doing much) to use as my Resistance for Terminator Genisys.

Orctober 2015 Pt.4 - Whom do you serve?

Whelp, Orctober is coming to the end and I've completed my goal of having 1k Warmaster Orcs painted (Not a legal list but as this is part of a greater whole it matters little).

Orctober 2015 Pt.3 - Looks like meat's back on the menu boys!

As promised a update of my Warmaster LotR Orc army, it's slow going but I'm rather enjoying seeing it build up.

Plus as I have so many units I can jump from one to another if a unit get boring or the colour starts to hurt my wee eyes, so I'm much further along then the finished picture look as I have 4/5 WIP units as well :)

Orctober 2015 Pt.2 - The Union of the Two Towers

The world is changing. Who now has the strength to stand against the armies of Isengard and Mordor?

To stand against the might of Sauron and Saruman and the union of the two towers?
Together, Lord Sauron, we shall rule this Middle-Earth. The old world will burn in the fires of industry.

The forests will fall. A new order will rise. We will drive the machinery of war with the sword and the spear and the iron fist of the Orc.

We have only to remove those who oppose us.

So dispite a bone crushing week of work and the joy of a new (Evil) furball I've made good progress on my Warmaster LotR themed Orc army.

Orctober 2015 Pt.1 - Mordor Marches!

Now as I'm sure we all know Erny from the self titled Erny's Place runs the Oldhammer version of Orctober every year.

Now this year I was going to sit it out as I'm quite burned out on Greenskins as I'm doing a Hobgoblin force for Tale of 4 Oldhammer Gamers & my Mordheim Orc Royal Court.

But as my treat for starting my new job I ordered some 10mm Orcs from Copplestone Castings and they turned up less then 24 hours after ordering woot!

Now I only done a small order but enough to get started on for the time being.

Distractions.. Bloody Distractions.

I've kind of been distracted of late when it's come to painting/Wargaming/Bloging which is a kind of a shame, but in it's way a little break as helped me refocus on what projects I want to finish or even start (Keep reading) and what I can put aside or sell on.

So what's the plan Bananaman!

Well.. I'm going to try my hand at um.. 10mm!

Combat Zone: Scavengers, Rus-Co & Scatter Terrain

So last few days I have been busy painting as normal, trying to get everything painted in time for a game on Wednesday which I'm providing both sides for (Scavs and Rus-Co).

I'm also trying to get my own Terrain finished (Some case even started), I'm still umming and errring about my home made stuff, part of me wants to just leave it and move on to the bought stuff.

Combat Zone: The Six Six Sixers

So this coming Wednesday at my local games club (Watford Wargaming Federation) I'm running a Combat Zone Demo to drum up some interest in the 20 year old game (First written in '94).

As such I need to get some Gangs an Troopers painted (Troopers have only just been ordered from Forlorn Hope).

Anyway heres some more Bikers done, The Six Six Sixers:

Combat Zone: Scavenger & Biker Gang

Another change of pace and another project progresses alittle further. Some of these have been shown before but they have had a few bits repainted and tidy up to fit with the newer painted ones.

Gang Leader & 2 Veterens
The Scavengers are a mix of EM4 (Ex-Grenadier) and Copplestone Castings, as they are both sculpted by the same person (Mark Copplestone) they blend perfectly.
