Bolt Action Italian RSI Vs British Airborne Game Photo Dump

Howdy boys and girls, how are we all doing on this bloody hot and sweaty bumcrack morning?

So yesterday I had the chance to play an old favourite in the form of BA.

Looking though my forces I grabbed my Italian RSI force a few days before to check what I had and I noticed I still had some grey primed chaps I haven't painted Shock horror!

I though I had finished these chaps.. opps so on too the painting table went 7 various Paras including a MMG and some LMG's (Not that I need anymore but the Warlord sets give you 2 to a squad when the rules only allow 1) plus another truck from Paint and Glue Miniatures.

Nothing like a game to motivate you eh?

1000pts doesn't get you much in a Vet heavy force

Beyond the Gates of Antares - Warlord HQ Antares Open Day 2018

So It's that time of year again where I managed to get a day off work and headed up too Warlord Games HQ for their annual Antares Day.

Once again I didn't join in the Events tournament as it's not my cup of tea.

But thanks too a little bit of begging the nice chaps I did get the event minis:

Beyond the Gates of Antares - Herts Shard Demo Game

So tonight I had the opportunity to run a Demo game of Gates at Watford Wargames Club.

Rather than being somewhat sensible and making 2 lists (I hate list making) I grabbed what looked like the most interest units which would give a good overview of the rules.

Cookie Monster is my opponent.

Beyond the Gates of Antares - Herts Shard Meet Up No.3

Last night, 4 of us (Myself, Simon, Martin & Neil) from the Beyond the Gates of Antares - Herts Shard got together for a large 2v2 game.

Allied Boromites and Concord Vs the Axis.. ahem sorry AI.

Each Building was a objective you had to take and hold. 5 buildings spread across a 12by4 table forming the Ruins of Jungla del arco iris.

No write up just a collection of random pictures from the game.

And for those interested in ended in a draw due to running out of time.

Beyond the Gates of Antares - Warlord HQ Bootcamp 09/09/17

A little late posting this on the Blog but these pictures have been posted elsewhere already (Beyond the Gates of Antares - Herts Shard & Beyond the Gates of Antares (IMTel)).

So the core members of the Herts Shard myself, Martin and Simon headed up to Warlord Games HQ early on a Saturday morning for a day of dice rolling, Pizza, tea and good light hearted banter.

We of course stopped on the way up at the infamous Watford Gap services (No not my ex!.. She goes by the name KFC Bucket 😉) for some fuel.. also known as Maccy D's.

The day was jointly ran by Pete of the Primus Shard & Gameface fame along with Warlord HQ themselves and I can't forget the other helpers such as Tish who kept us well supplied.

Beyond the Gates of Antares - Herts Shard Meet Up No.2

Last night was the 2nd Herts Shard gaming night, just the 2 of us this time but still a rather fun day of random banter, dice rolling and rules we got wrong :D.

We played 2 games, the first we stopped after turn one and moved terrian around and reduced the table size after the first game became clear it wasn't making for a run game.

Below are some pictures of the 2nd game

Warmaster Battle Report: Orcs of the White Hand Vs Dwarves of the Mountains

Together, my lord Sauron, we shall rule this Middle-earth. The old world will burn in the fires of industry.
Forests will fall. A new order will rise. We will drive the machine of war with the sword and the spear and the iron fist of the Orc.

So last night as a rather busy Watford Wargaming Federation I had my first game of Warmaster ever!

My long suffering opponent was also playing his first game and came armed with little Dwarven Gits.

Anyway here's some pictures of our game.

Necromunda: Battle Report ''Shoot Out'' - Redemptionists Vs Pit Slaves

Inquisitor Scythe had sent his Brethren out to forage for supplies at the Settlement of Waste Drop, little did he know the Techno Outlaws had sent they boys looking too.

It's going to get bloody..

As it's far too hot today to paint and my Wife is off work will set up for a quick game. Rolling for the Scenario we ended up with ''Shoot Out''

Ohhhh it's a random gang selection too, rolling some more the Redemptionists controlled by my Wife got 4 (Deacon , 2 Brethren & 1 Novice) and I ended up with 3 (2 Technos & a Pit Slave)

This is part 3 of the Necromunda Battle Reps between me and my Wife you can see the others here:

WEG Star Wars - Battle Report ''Storming the Rebel Base''

Storm the Rebel Base

The skies darken over ZAN IV as the Imperial Dropships break the atmosphere above.

First to set foot with the Vanguard was General Veers and the 2 notorious Bounty Hunters Boba Fett & Big Bertha.

Today will see much bloodshed...

So last night we played the 2nd battle in the ongoing Star Wars campaign set on ZAN IV.

The first Battle ''Bounty Hunting'' (Broken into 2 parts) can be viewed HERE and HERE.

The Empire has found Han Solo hiding out on a Rebel Training Base on ZAN IV and after a failed Bounty Hunting mission by Boba Fetthas descided to bring in the full force of the Empire to both wipe out the Base and bring Commander Solo in, dead or alive it matters not.

WEG Star Wars - Battle Report ''Bounty Hunting'' Pt.2 The Pew Pewing!

Bounty Hunting

So boys and girls (At the very least boys with moobs) it's time for a Battle Report from you favourite Chico..

No! Not him Me!

Ahem...

Anyway Pt.1 detailing the forces used can be read HERE

Darth Vader: There will be a substantial reward for the one who finds the Millennium Falcon. You are free to use any methods necessary but I want them alive - no disintegrations!

Boba Fett: As you wish.

This is a non-cannon game based on a possible alternative story arc. Boba has tracked Solo down to a backwater planet of  ZAN IV.

ZAN IV has a small Rebel base used as a training grounds for new and rather green Rebels and as such is rather limited in it resources and Blasters. Boba is also only leading a scouting force of Stormtroopers and as such are also lightly equipped

WEG Star Wars - Battle Report ''Bounty Hunting'' pt.1 The Forces

So tonight at my local gaming club (Watford Wargaming Federation) I'm getting to play a game of SWMB2 for the first time and with another willing victim.. er ..er opponent.

Now as its our first time (Cue candles and mood lighting) we are keeping it small and somewhat easy as I'm also providing both sides and I hate playing with unpainted toys I just went with what I had all ready painted and rushed a couple more Rebels though to even the odds.

Necromunda: Battle Report - Redemptionists Vs Scavvies

Inquisitor Scythe watched as the settlement of Burnitdown prepared for the wave of mutant scum about to crash against their walls. The Pit Slave revolt had weakened the Holy Cult and made a hole in the walls for the dregs to assail though... Ohh today there will be blood and fire.. yes the fire shall cleanse!

Well following on from the last Battle Report (Seen HERE) the settlement is now under seige from a gang of Mutants and it's now looking for the weakened Redemptionists.

As such all Bottletest are on hold until 50% Cas rather then the normal 25%

Necromunda: Battle Report - Redemptionists Vs Pit Slaves

Snarling Rat former Chief of the Spotted Dog Tribe now outcast Badskin heard rumours of a Pit Slave rebellion near the Redemptionist Output of Burnitdown. Maybe he can use it for his advantage and remove the Zealots from his holy sacred hive.

So today my and my other half managed to get a game in, it;s her fault as she mentioned I havn't used the scenery she bought me for my last birthday.. So Ha! Game time!

She took the Redemptions while I took a few Pit Slaves along with Snarling Rat one of my Badskins, As always we took what we liked rather then doing a Roster as it was played as a stand alone game
