Due to his age his views start to change and he starts to think the people of the Mega City are not that terrible. However, while on a mission with Judge Dredd he finds himself gun-to-gun with a small time thug. Due to his reflexes not being as good as they used to be, the thug shoots first and Minty was hospitilised. While laying in the hospital bed he Realised he was no longer fit to be a city Judge he decided to take The Long Walk out into the Cursed Earth to bring law unto the lawless. He encounters a small band of people in the Cursed earth he also has to deal with Radioactive dust storms.
So you may know or may not know last year Frothers made a Judge Minty figure for there Charity event that's run every year. Sculpted by Kev White and based on the fan made short film (If you have watched it, I'd recommend it).
A mint Minty hehe |
Now I didn't get one at the time as umm... I wasn't even aware of the film/minture until long after if had been made, yes for shame.
Anyway the wonderful and talented axiom of Magpie and Old Lead sent me a metal cast one last week out of the kindness of his heart. As such it's now jumped to the top of lead mountain, and being prepped for painting as we speak.

Part 2 to come soon when he's fully painted and hopefully I'll do justice to the gift :)
Nice one Jon :)
ReplyDeleteAt least he can be fairly sure that you will get it painted fairly rapidly Chico. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
Thankies, give me a day or so.. but the Deadzone terrain is taking up all my hobby time.. So ay take longer lol

DeleteGreat model Chico, and terrific gift. Had the opportunity at a show to buy it as resin cast once but held out in the hope of picking up a metal one. Never did find one. Looking forward to seeing yours fully painted and in action very very soon :-)
